European Researchers’ Night 2020

The event has been taking place for 15 years all over Europe to bring researchers closer to people of all ages, involving every year thousands of researchers and scientists from the major scientific research institutions and European Universities. The Researchers’ Night, promoted by the European Commission, will take place on November 27, 2020 on a digital format due to current health emergency.

The Aim? Disseminating science culture, stimulating interest in science and research careers, bringing researchers closer to citizens who show an increasing interest in the latest research findings and provide their contribution funding research activities.
The European Researchers’ Night will feature many events: Italy with its 7 projects involving 80 cities is once again one of the European countries with the highest number of events on its whole territory. From Milan to Catania, from Bologna to Taranto, from Ventotene to Stromboli the European Researchers’ Night has a whole host of exciting initiatives such as shows and concerts, exhibitions, guided tours but also hands-on experiments and workshops for all ages. The programme includes also conferences, dissemination seminars and workshops to take a closer look at the latest findings and understand how the research world works.
