Description
Studying the DNA molecule is fascinating: indeed, it contains all the information that allows a cell to perform its functions.
This test protocol, which requires a school lab equipped with basic instruments including a chemical e hood, makes it possible to extract DNA from buccal mucosa cells in a fast and simple manner. DNA obtained in this way can be further analysed, for example using agarose gel electrophoresis or evaluating it with aspectrophotometer, in order to establish its concentration and purity.
